Admitted
NEW LONDON, N.H. --- Megan Pickett of Pomfret Center, has been admitted to Colby-Sawyer College as a member of the class of 2018. Pickett is an English major.
Performs
WILLIMANTIC --- On Dec. 7, the Eastern Percussion Ensemble performed a broad spectrum of musical styles from the original and transcribed works of the percussion and marimba ensemble repertoire. Music and percussion professor Jeff Calissi directed the show, exhibiting the talents of fourteen performers.
One of the percussionists was Mackenzie Muscara ’18 of Dayville. Muscara is majoring in Music.
One of the percussionists was Gabrielle Reynolds ’17 of Dayville. Reynolds is majoring in Economics.

BATON ROUGE, La. --- The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is pleased to announce that Alicia Giambattista of Dayville, was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Giambattista was initiated at MCPHS University.

WILLIMANTIC --- Eastern Visual Arts student Chelsea Taylor ’15 of Danielson, was one of Professor June Bisantz’s ECSU Design Group students who contributed artwork for a recent Windham Hospital Auxilary event. The 19th annual Autumn Gala, “Havana Nights,” was held at the Marriot Hotel at Adriaen’s Landing in Hartford on Nov. 22.
Taylor assisted in the effort by designing vintage Cuban-themed artwork based on the event’s theme. The participating students’ designs were selected and presented in the form of fans that were displayed throughout the reception rooms, signs to direct people to the event and as a large photo backdrop for souvenir photos. The event included a gourmet dinner, dancing, silent auction and presentation of annual Auxilary awards for Caregiver of the Year (Juanita Vasquez), Physician of the Year (Michael Kilgannon) and Philanthropy (The Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation).

FRANKLIN, Mass. --- Morgan Cacciapouti of Thompson has earned Dean’s List status for the fall 2014 semester at Dean College in Franklin.
