Jean Lalumiere,
Korean war vet
S. KILLINGLY — Jean Marc Lalumiere, 84, of S. Killingly, died Jan. 10, 2015, at Davis Place in Danielson. He was the husband of Roseanna G. (Beaudoin) Lalumiere. He married the love of his life Feb. 14, 1953, in St. Joseph Church, Dayville. 
He was born May 16, 1930, in Weedon, Canada, son of the late Louis and Leonie (Lafond) Lalumiere. 
Jean was a veteran of the Korean war serving with the U.S. Army, serving as a corporal and was honorably discharged in 1952. He was a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson. Jean was a certified welder and blacksmith working for Dayville MFG Welding, Putnam Foundry, Westlake Steel, Boudreau’s Welding, a member of the Steamfitters Union Local Providence, Idle Wild Farms and retiring from William Prym in Dayville in 1992. He had worked on The Gold Star Bridge and several bridges on I-395 in Connecticut. He enjoyed wood working, making furniture, chopping wood and gardening.
Besides his wife, Jean, he leaves his three sons, Alan Lalumiere of Griswold, Roland Lalumiere of Central Village, Charles Lalumiere of S. Killingly; his daughter Anna Nadeau of Moosup; a brother Gustave Lalumiere of Danielson; a sister Yolande Tichey of Fairfield; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by seven brothers and five sisters. 
Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Jan. 14 from Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Danielson, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. James Church, 12 Franklin St., Danielson, with burial with military honors in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. Irene Clark
PUTNAM — Irene Loretta (Emond) Clark, 97, of Putnam, died Jan. 10, 2015, at Day Kimball Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Edeo Clark Sr. They were married Nov. 28, 1935, Thanksgiving Day, in St. Mary Church. He died Aug. 22, 2005. 
She was born April 20, 1917, in Sorel, P.Q. Canada, daughter of Aime and Flore (Tucker) Emond. At the age of 10 she came to New Hampshire with her family, and in 1931 when she was 14 she moved with her family and settled in Putnam.
She enjoyed going to Bingo, playing cards, puzzles, picking apples, strawberries, and blueberries. 
She leaves her children Naomi Regis (Richard) of Brooklyn, Edeo Clark Jr. of Putnam, Carol Regis (Raymond) of Dayville, Gerald Clark (Joyce) of Pomfret Center, James Clark Sr. (Daryle) of Woodstock; 11 grandchildren Robin, Rhonda, Rick, Michael, Todd, Karen, Kevin, Lisa, Dwain Jr., James Jr., Andrea; 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by a son Dwain Clark Sr.; great-granddaughter Sarah Beth Lussier; sisters Flora Frechette and Simone Fuller.

Leanne Donais
PUTNAM — Leanne Donais, 90, of Providence Pike, Putnam, died Jan. 12, 2015, at the Westview Nursing Home in Dayville. She was the wife of Raymond Donais. 
She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Putnam, daughter of the late David and Olivine (Beaudry) Gothreau.  She had made her home in Putnam all her life, a communicant of St Mary Church in Putnam. Her family always came first. She had worked at Wellington Curtain, Laurion’s Cleaners, and as a cashier at Putnam High School. She enjoyed reading, ceramics, latch hook rugs, sewing and singing and helping others. 
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 2002 and her daughter Janice Leanne Donais in 1963. She was the last of her family; she leaves only nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. Jan. 15 at St Mary Church, 218 Providence St., with burial in St Mary Cemetery. Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam.
 
Joseph Hauser
PUTNAM — Joseph Michael Hauser, 29, of Ballou Street, died unexpectedly Jan. 5, 2015, at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
Joseph was born July 28, 1985, in Putnam and was a resident of Putnam his entire life.  He was a friend of the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Putnam, and enjoyed most of all riding his bike around town and hanging out with friends.  For many years he helped out at Sunny Discount Liquor and Mainely Seafood, both in Putnam. Joe was also active in Special Olympics for several years.  A 2004 graduate of Putnam High School, he recently enjoyed his 10th reunion with fellow classmates.
He leaves his father, William Hauser of Putnam, and his mother, Cheryl Briere of Willimantic; his stepmother Lyn of Putnam; brother William of Willimantic, community friends Stewart and Barbara Morse and family of Woodstock, Laurie Walaszkieicz and family of Putnam; girlfriend Naomi; aunts , uncles, cousins and old friends from Camp Quinebaug.

Katherine A. Leveille
THOMPSON — Katherine A.  Leveille, 64, of O’Leary Rd., died Jan. 3, 2015, in Matulaitis Nursing Home. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late George Stanley and Katherine Elois (Logee) Leveille.
Katherine provided foster care to many children throughout the years.  She loved her Appaloosa horses.  Through the years she showed, boarded, bred and gave lessons with her beloved horses.  She enjoyed sewing and earned her black belt in karate.
She leaves her son, Michael Leveille of Thompson; her sister, Mary Ann Wexler (Chuck) of Thompson; her three brothers, Philip Leveille (Susan) of Thompson, Bruce Leveille of Pomfret and Timothy Leveille (Julie) of Thompson; nieces and nephews, as well as her great nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William Leveille who died in 1995.

Marie A. Poirier
PUTNAM — Marie A. (Galante), 82, of Poulin Dr., died Jan. 10, 2015, in Day Kimball Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard O. Poirier who died Nov. 20, 2001.  
Born in 1932 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Homiak) Galante.
Marie was united in marriage to Richard O. Poirier on July 12, 1952, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Philadelphia.
Prior to raising her family, Marie worked for Holmes Electric Protection Company in Philadelphia as an operator supervisor. Marie worked in the cafeteria at Putnam Elementary School until her retirement and then went to work in the Day Kimball Hospital Coffee Shop.
She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. Mary Church.  Marie saw beauty in everything.  She loved nature, all animals and was especially fond of birds.  She was very artistic and enjoyed oil and watercolor painting, and crafts.  Marie was a great cook and was passionate when it came to cooking for her family and friends. She was light hearted and had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with everyone.  
She leaves three children Cynthia Gaucher (Leo) of Woodstock, Richard W. Poirier (Jane) of N. Grosvenordale, and Cheryl Laporte (Paul R.) of Putnam; a brother George Pondish and a cousin Marie McLaughlin in Pennsylvania; sister-in-law and best friend Marilyn Poirier of Thompson; seven grandchildren Alison (Joseph) Gaucher-Pedersen, Tara (Tiffany) Gaucher-Gibson, Ryan Poirier, Neil Poirier, Alisha Nadeau, Alexa Laporte, and Aaron Laporte; a great grandson Linden Gaucher; and her cherished companion cocker spaniel Bella. She was predeceased by a brother Anthony Pondish and a sister Anna Mae Ruffead. 
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 14 in Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A gathering will begin in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Jan. 15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St.  Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Annette C. Vincent
GROTON —  Annette C. (Beaudoin) Vincent, 69, of Buddington Rd., died Jan. 5, 2015, in Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Born in 1945 in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Guibeault) Beaudoin Sr.
Ms. Vincent worked as a comptroller for the Girard Group for over 40 years. She was an avid New York Yankees Fan and enjoyed traveling to see her beloved team, she was also a member of the Mohegan Sun Gold Club, and was known to be a very charitable person, and lover of cats.
She leaves her daughter Babette Mantilla and her partner Evelyn of W. Hartford; a brother William Beaudoin Jr. of Putnam; two sisters Shirley O’Brien of Groton and Florence Lockwood of Jewett City; her cherished pet cat Sweetie Pie; two granddaughters; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Gerald Beaudoin and Joseph Beaudoin Sr. and a sister Lucille Bertrand.

Nancy Weatherbee
WEBSTER — Nancy A. (DeFilippo) Weatherbee, 59, died  Jan. 9, 2015, at Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge.  She was the wife of the late Alfred Weatherbee who died in 2012. 
She was born in Webster daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Mayoette) DeFilippo and lived here all her life.  She was a Switchboard operator at the UMass Memorial Hospital, Belmont St., Worcester. 
She was avid bingo player and enjoyed crafting.  She was a former director of the Make a Wish Foundation.  
She leaves four daughters; Donna Belanger of Oxford, Mass., Michelle Belanger of Webster, Wendy Lynch of N. Grosvenordale, and Chrissy Morrill of Webster; a brother, Rocco DeFilippo of Webster; sister Dianne Hosegood of Webster; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.  She had a sister that predeceased her, Helen DeFilippo.
A celebration of life will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan 16 in Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, Webster. A funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Jan. 17 in St. Louis Church, Webster. Please go directly to church. Donations: American Heart Assoc.
