The Pomfret Planning & Zoning Commission will hold the following Public Hearings on Monday, June 22, 2015, starting at 7:00 PM at the Pomfret Senior Center:
1. An application from John & Karen DeLuca, special permit for a 90’ by 68’ barn for equipment storage and workshop
2. An application from Maureen Nicholson for the Pomfret Fire House, special permit for an addition to the Fire House in a residential zone
A copy of these applications is on file in the office of the Planning and Zoning Commission, 5 Haven Road Pomfret, Connecticut. The files are available for review during normal business hours.

JUNE 22, 2015
The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in Special Meetings of the Town of Putnam Special Services District are hereby notified and warned that a Special Meeting of the Town of Putnam Special Services District will be held in the Meeting Room of the Putnam Fire Department, 189 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut, on Monday, June 22, 2015, At 7:00 P.M for the following purposes.
1. To Choose a Moderator for said meeting.
2. To Determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Special Meetings of the Putnam Special Services District upon the following resolution:
That the sum of $66,653.60 is hereby appropriated from the Putnam Special Services District’s reserve fund for heart and hypertension claims to resolve a permanent partial disability claim.

At the June 9, 2015 Special Meeting of the Pomfret Planning & Zoning Commission, the following applications were acted upon:
1. An application from Brian Bourque, Deacon, First Congregational Church, Inc., 13 Church Road, to amendment the Town’s Zoning Regulations to create a new zoning district named the Pomfret Street Residential Village District (PSRVD). The text amendment includes, but is not limited to, dimensional requirements (lot size, setbacks, frontage, building coverage, minimum buildable area), permitted uses, special permitted uses and architectural standards; APPROVED.
2. An application from First Congregational Church, Inc., 13 Church Road, for a zone change from Pomfret Street Residential District (PSR) to Pomfret Street Residential Village District (PSRVD). The land for the proposed zone change is located immediately north of Bradley Road continuing to include six more properties or portions of properties north of Grosvenor Road on the east side of Route 169 and includes an area on Grosvenor Road (North and South Sides); APPROVED.
