WILLIMANTIC — A local student at Eastern Connecticut State University was inducted into Eastern’s Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society: Ricardo Rivera-Cabrera ’16 of Woodstock. His major is economics.

BURLINGTON, Vt. — - Alexandra Wilcon has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester at the University of Vermont. Wilcon, from Pomfret Center, is a sSophmore biology major.

WORCESTER — Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced that William Bourgeois of Woodstock,  a first-year student majoring in actuarial mathematics, was named to the university’s Dean’s List for academic excellence for the spring 2015 semester.

NEWTON, Mass. — Danielle Fortin of Pomfret Center has received a bachelor’s degree from Lasell College during commencement exercises May 2015. Fortin majored in communication.

NEWTON, Mass. — Two local students were among the 289 students who graduated from Mount Ida College May 11, 2015: Casey Bienkowski of Pascoag graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology; and Halle Rasco of Pascoag  graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.

PROVIDENCE — Gabrielle Abbate of Pascoag  was among nearly 50 students who received undergraduate degrees from Providence College’s School of Continuing Education during the College’s Ninety-Seventh Commencement Exercises May 17, 2015. Abbate graduated Cum laude with a bachelor’s degree.
