PUTNAM — Often when walking into a hospital people feel rushed, lost, worried, or any number of other feelings. But when greeted by someone who is kind, caring and considerate, people are often more at ease. Diane Morgan, Patient Access Representative at Day Kimball Hospital, has been doing that for patients for 12 years. This month she has been named Day Kimball Healthcare’s Employee of the Month.

Morgan joined the team at Day Kimball in 2001, working in the Dietary department. When she developed an interest in Patient Access she shadowed in the department on her own time. She found she loved it and so switched to her current position in 2003. In her role Morgan checks patients in and is responsible for accurately collecting their personal and insurance information, and informing patients of the hospital’s policies to ensure a smooth experience.

When she’s not at work, Morgan enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. She lives in Thompson with her husband and son.
