Art Exhibit

Art at Library

N. GROSVENORDALE --- Art @ the Library will present an art exhibit, “Journey into the Four Directions” through Dec. 29 at the Thompson Public Library. Artist reception is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7. Supported by the Friends of the Library.

 

Three C’s

WOODSTOCK --- The Three C’s Performing Arts for Kids will present “I’m Special, You’re Special) at 10 a.m. at the Hyde Cultural Center. Recommended for grades 4-7. $4 per person (in groups of 10 or more) 928-2946. 

 

Flu Clinic

WOODSTOCK --- The Woodstock Academy is partnering with the Northeast District Department of Health to host a Flu Clinic for Woodstock Academy employees and families and members of the surrounding community from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Woodstock Academy Health Office (in the Bowen building). All patients must register online and come to their appointment with a completed Influenza Immunization Consent form and insurance cards. NDDH will bill insurance companies for all patients. $30 without an insurance card. Pre-register by Dec. 4.  (860) 928-0413

Character Breakfast

PUTNAM --- The Putnam Music Association is hosting a Character Breakfast with an All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet from 8 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church on Providence Street. Photos with characters are $5. Advance tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for kids six and younger. Limited tickets at door: $10 for adults and $8 for kids 6 and younger. Wreaths Ceremony

POMFRET --- Wreaths Across America ceremony will be held at noon on the Green at the Veteran’s Monument.  Complimentary coffee served to Veterans from 11 a.m.

 

Holiday Concert

WILLIMANTIC --- The Willimantic Orchestra, a community-based orchestra, will present its free Holiday Concert: "Through a Child's Eye." At 7 p.m. at Shafer Auditorium, ECSU. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.

 

Wreaths Ceremony

PUTNAM --- The American Legion Post 13 and the VFW Post 1523 will present Wreaths Across America at noon in Veterans’ Park on Bridge Street. All welcome.

Caroling on the Commons

POMFRET CENTER --- The First Congregational Church in Pomfret on Rt. 169  invites you to Caroling on the Commons from 6 to 7 p.m. Singing classic Christmas songs in front of a bonfire.  All welcome.

 

Nature Program

POMFRET --- Pomfret School will present An Evening of Lessons and Carols at 7 p.m. at Clark Memorial Chapel on campus. Refreshments follow. Park across the street from the chapel.

POMFRET --- Holiday Caroling and Tree Lighting will be held at 5 p.m.  on the Pomfret Green at the intersection of routes 44 and 169. All welcome. Refreshments at the Vanilla Bean Café immediately following.
