PUTNAM — The Putnam Lions annual Volleyball Challenge brought in more than $20,000 for the community.

The corporate-sponsored traveling trophy was won by Putnam High School’s Team Pratt after a long battle with Jessica Tuesday’s team.

The competitive team games were won by the Endo Spikers in Division B and Franklin Fire in Division A.

The Putnam Lions Volleyball Challenge is the largest fund-raiser of the year for the Putnam Lions and all funds raised are given back to the community during the Night of Giving in April.  This year’s event grossed over $20,000 thanks to all the sponsors and participants.

The following competitive teams played on Saturday:  Brown & Jacobson, Byrnes Agency, Endo Spikers, SPIROL, Mandy’s Minions, Franklin Fire Department, Team Blank and Cocktails.  Sunday’s Corporate-sponsor teams were Archambault Insurance, ESB/CNB, Gerardi Team #1 Smash, Gerardi Team #2 One Hit Wonders, Jessica Tuesday’s, Kenyon Textiles, Putnam Bank, Putnam High School’s Team Pratt, Safin’s Chipsters and Smith & Walker.
