Death investigated

PUTNAM — March 21 at approximately 11:30 the Putnam Police Department investigated the discovery of an unresponsive person on the lawn of 364 School St. 

This person was identified as Nicholas Mayo, 28, of 383 School St. 

An examination conducted by the Office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner confirmed initial police impressions that the cause of death does not appear to be criminal in nature. The investigation is ongoing.
