Collections

The April 2017 billing of water and /or sewer collections for the Town of Putnam WPCA is due and payable on May 1, 2017.

Payments made after May 1, 2017, will be subject to an interest charge for both water and sewer of 3 percent (1.5 percent per month) or $2.00 minimum whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute SEC. 12-146.

Mail must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2017, to avoid interest charges.

Commission

At the March 15, 2017, meeting of the Pomfret Planning & Zoning Commission, the following legal action was taken:

1. M&E Transportation, LLC,  for 4 Nora Lane, text amendment regarding a transportation facility that functions as a depot for truck services, which may include maintenance facilities, vehicle parking, vehicle dispatch, but does not include the distribution or warehousing of good or products.  For the purposes of this definition, it shall not include buses and/or livery-styled vehicles (i.e., taxis, limousines).  APPROVED

2. CME for Pomfret School, 431 Pomfret Street, special permit/site plan approval for the conversion of a single-family house into a dormitory (7 dorm rooms) and an apartment (3-bedrooms).  APPROVED with conditions.

3. Phillip Allegretti for Town of Pomfret Planning and Zoning Commission, 5 Haven Road, text amendment to modify temporary agricultural signs.  APPROVED.
