PUTNAM --- The Putnam Rotary Club will honor two local leaders with the Paul Harris Fellow award, the highest honor offered by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
The first honoree is Donna Grant, former executive director of TEEG. Paul Harris Fellow aard committee Chairman Paul Pikora said she was chosen because she is "a caring, compassionate, concerned, dedicated and tireless advocate for the people of the communities served by TEEG; always willing to go wherever necessary and take the cause to the top to do what she considers fair and right for her 'constituents,' regardless of circumstances and possible consequences."
Earl Rosebrooks , owner/president of Fluid Coating Technologies of Putnam, is the second honoree. Pikora said Rosebrooks is the former president of Putnam Business Association, adding he is a "philanthropist, social activist, town crier; always committed to the community, loyal to those around him, a dedicated family man, and one who is steadfast in doing things the right way."
The pair will be honored at the Putnam Rotary Club's Induction Night on June 20.
Pikora said the Paul Harris Fellow is named for the Chicago attorney who formed and founded one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago. Once a year the Putnam Rotary Club recognizes individuals, both members and non-members, who stand out for what they contribute to the club, for the work they perform for and in the community, and for the way in which they treat their fellow citizens and neighbors. In honor of their work, a $1000 contribution is made in each of their names to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
The Paul Harris Fellow award committee includes: Chairman Pikora, Steve Adams, Pam Brown, Rande Chmura, Dick Loomis and Jeff Rawson
