DAYVILLE — Colleen Harrington, LCSW, MBA is the new vice president and COO of United Services, Inc., northeastern Connecticut’s non-profit community behavioral health center.
Harrington previously served in numerous senior management positions with the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). Harrington will provide oversight and leadership for United Services’ clinical programs as well as the health center’s integrated wellness and community support services.
Harrington spent much of her early career at United Services, starting as a child advocate in the Domestic Violence Program, and eventually becoming program manager. She also worked as a clinician in the Child Guidance Clinic and from 2001 to 2007 served as Division Director for Continuing Care Services. Since 2007, Harrington has been working at DMHAS in several positions, most recently in the Office of the Commissioner as director of the Managed Services Division. Harrington completed her master’s in social work at UConn School of Social work in 1995 and her master’s in business administration at the University of Hartford in 2005.
“Colleen returns to United Services with a wealth of experience, including her expertise in new models of patient-focused care such as the development of the state Behavioral Health Home initiative to integrate primary healthcare and wellness support for the clients we serve,” said Diane L.
