Open house

PUTNAM — The Putnam Leo Club, sponsored by the Putnam Lions Club, is hosting an Open House from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Board of Education conference room at Putnam High to explain the club’s goals and mission and to share information about community service and leadership opportunities. 

Club members, advisers, and Leo parents will be on hand to answer questions.  Current Leo Club members are from Putnam, Pomfret, Thompson and Woodstock and attend local public and private middle and high schools and Ellis Tech. Homeschoolers are also club members. As the only active Leo Club in the region, membership is open to interested youth, ages 12 to 18, from the entire Quiet Corner.  The club is active throughout the year and helps members to experience teamwork in action.  For more information, contact the Putnam Leo Club at This email address is being protected from spambots.
