Receives grant

WATERFORD — Charter Oak Federal Credit Union awarded $40,000 in grants in late-July to organizations throughout eastern Connecticut.

Locally, grants went to: The Arc Quinebaug Valley. Grants ranged from $1,000 to $10,000.

To encourage a philanthropic movement throughout New London and Windham counties, Charter Oak has reinstated its Matching Gifts Program to donate $100,000 in 100 days to the charities most meaningful to its members. Through this program, the credit union will match donations, up to $500, made by its primary members. Visit CharterOak.org to learn more.
