PUTNAM — Twelve establishments that sell tobacco products were subjected to an unannounced inspection and all 12 passed.
Dec. 1, according to the Putnam Police Department, the Putnam Police Department and staff members of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program, conducted unannounced compliance inspections of establishments that sell tobacco products. The inspections determine if stores are complying with the state laws regarding the prohibition of the sale of cigarettes and/or tobacco products to youth under 18.
The 12 establishments, within the Putnam Special Services District, include:
Best Way- 146 Church St. Putnam
City Gas- 2 Grove St. Putnam
Rite Aid-203 Kennedy Drive Putnam
Family Dollar- 356 Kennedy Drive Putnam
Putnam Spirits- 249 Kennedy Drive Putnam
Price Chopper -251 Kennedy Drive Putnam
Sam’s Food Stores- 303 Kennedy Drive Putnam
Sunny Wine & Spirit -15 Mechanic St. Putnam
Sunny Discount Liquors- 150 Providence St. Putnam
