Legal Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town and Fire District of Pomfret that the first installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2017, is DUE AND PAYABLE July 1, 2018. The last day to pay without penalty is August 1, 2018.
Per State Statute, interest will be charged at 18% annually (1.5% per month), with a minimum charge of $2.00 per entity (Town and Fire District are separate entities) on all delinquent payments postmarked after August 1, 2018.
Please make all checks payable to Pomfret Tax Collector. The mailing address is 5 Haven Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259. If a receipt is desired, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope. For more information or to pay online, go to www.pomfretct.gov.
Tax office hours are: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Wednesday
8:30 am to 6:00 pm, closed on Fridays.

WPCA Water/Sewer Collections
The July 2018 billing of water and/or sewer taxes for the Town of Putnam WPCA is due and payable on July I , 2018, with the Town Revenue Collector.
Payments made after August 1, 2018, are delinquent and will be subject to an interest charge for both water and sewer at 1 .5% per month or $2.00 minimum whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute SEC. 12-146.
Mail must be postmarked no later than August 1 , 2018, to avoid interest charges.
Online payments can be made at the Town of Putnam website- www.putnamct.us after July 1, 2018.

Payments made after August 1st, 2018 will be subject to an interest charge of 3% (1.5% per month) or $2.00 minimum per Town and $2.00 per Special Service District, East Putnam Fire District and West Putnam District (where applicable), whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute, Sec. 12-146.

SPECIAL DISTRICT MEETING
JULY 11, 2018 — 7:00 PM
The citizens and eligible voters of the Putnam Special Services District are hereby notified and warned of a Special Meeting to be held by the Putnam Special Services District Authority at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the Putnam Fire Station Meeting Room, 189 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut.
At such Special Meeting the Putnam Special Services District Authority will hear public comment on the following items:
1. To choose a Moderator for said meeting
2. Determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at the District Meeting of the Putnam Special Services District on the following resolution:
RESOLVED, by the Special Meeting of the Putnam Special Services District that the sum of $65,000.00 is hereby appropriated for the purchase of a Pick-Up Truck for the Putnam Fire Department. The appropriation shall be Funded by the transfer of $65,000.00 from the Fire Department Vehicle Reserve Fund
