This is Weiss store in 1956. Abraham and Sarah came to Putnam from Poland in 1900. First they operated a produce wagon, then had a small grocery store on Marshall Street. In 1921 they moved into their store on Church and Providence. The store burned in 1957 and they moved their market to the Victory Theater building on Main Street until the new building was built on the old site. Putnam Town Crier file photos.
