Volunteers needed
PUTNAM — The Gertrude C. Warner Boxcar Children’s Museum in Putnam is seeking new docents (volunteers) for the Museum.
If you have at least 2 1/2 hours a month to spare, the Museum would love to hear from you. Each new docent will receive a packet of information and a training session. . The museum is open on weekends from the beginning of May through the third weekend in October. If you were fortunate to have had Miss Warner as a teacher, read the Boxcar Children series of books and/or are just looking for a very worthwhile volunteer activity, then please join us as we begin our 15th year of operation.
More than 7,000 people, literally from all over the world, have visited the museum and each has a fascinating story to tell. Docents can pick shifts 11 a.m. to 1:30pm or 1:30 to 4 p.m...
