PUTNAM — A Putnam woman was arrested on drug charges following the execution of a search and seizure warrant March 19.
Ashley Goulet, 35, of 23 Hanley St., was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operating a drug factory and risk of injury to a minor.
Members of the Troop-D Quality of Life Task Force, the Statewide Narcotics Task Force – East Office, the Putnam Police Department and personnel assigned to the Troop D “Danielson Barracks” executed several search and seizure warrants at 23 Hanley St. The search warrants were obtained after a lengthy investigation revealed Goulet was selling crack cocaine from her residence.
Officers found 15.3 grams of prepackaged “crack” cocaine, one inoperable handgun, scales, and packaging equipment. Because there was a 5-year-old child living there, the Drug Endangered Child protocol was followed. Two Department of Children and Family Services workers arrived and a separate case has been initiated by DCF.
Members of the CT State Police are committed to combating drug activity in the “Quiet Corner” and anyone with information regarding the illegal sale of narcotics and /or synthetic marijuana are encouraged to call the Troop D QLTF anonymous Tips Hotline at 860-779-4950 or message the QLTF Facebook page.
