Less talking;
more doing
WOODSTOCK — In a call to arms, Rotary District 7890 Governor Mark Brady, challenged the Putnam Rotary Club members to become an action club.
“Too many speakers (at Rotary Club meetings) and not enough action,” he told a packed room Oct. 22.
He offered kudos to the Putnam Rotary Club for having a wide presence in the community: the club sponsors a Rotary Interact Club for teens and a Rotaract Club for college students and young professionals. It’s the perfect feeder system for building the Putnam Rotary Club.
And, in addition to drawing from the Interact and Rotaract Club, he urged the Putnam Rotary members to amp up their pursuit of new club members. “Get people to come and then get them into action,” he said.
Action was Brady’s focus. His speech was sprinkled with examples of action projects that other clubs are doing.
