Opening Day for the Putnam Little League April 23 was a huge successful kickoff to the Little League season.
After a couple of slower years due to COVID, Putnam Little League’s numbers are back on the rise with just over 100 players registered this year for ages 4-12 years old.
The league has five Tee Ball teams, three Coach-Pitch Level teams, and three Minors Level teams.
The 12-year-old players are playing in Pomfret this year because Putnam was unable to field Major-Level Teams for the 2022 season.
With such great numbers at the Minors level this year, the Putnam league will be able to bring Majors back next spring.

Moe Coderre was the guest of honor - singing the National Anthem, speaking to the kids/parents, and throwing out the “first pitch”. First pitch was caught by Wesley Schulman.
