The Woodstock Academy senior Owen Bland, second from the left, recently participated in The American Legion Department of Connecticut Constitution Oratorical contest. Bland, who represented Post #111 of Woodstock and the 4th District, finished as the contest runner up and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
