EAST PUTNAM — An indoor entertainment park is applying for a special permit to build in the Putnam Parkade on Rt. 44.
The space that was formerly occupied by TJMaxx and Big Lots was split in two. Montana Nights axe throwing anticipates opening in two weeks; however, they do not have their certificate of occupancy yet.
The entertainment park is looking to open in the other half.
According to the application submitted to the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission, the applicant, Mrunal Desai of Rocky Hill, is looking for a special permit of exception from Section 304 of the town’s regulation: Schedule of Uses and Districts, Recreation and Entertainment.
The application was submitted Sept. 3 and will likely be on the agenda at the commission’s next meeting Oct. 16.
Also submitted was a diagram of the space. It shows trampolines, Ninja courses, multi-sport courts, soft play and two party rooms.
The owner of the property is listed as Vajra LLC of Rocky Hill. According to the Connecticut Secretary of State records, Vajra LLC was former Feb. 18, 2022. The principal and managing members are Mrunal Desai of Rocky Hill and Krypa Shah of Norwich
