Second pedestrian accident
PUTNAM — Oct. 8 Putnam Police responded to the intersection of Kennedy Drive and Bridge Street for a pedestrian-involved motor vehicle accident.
Police Chief Christopher D. Ferace said a 2016 Ford F-250 operated Michael Mainville, 63, of Thompson, was traveling on northbound on Kennedy Drive and struck Jennifer Dazy, 47, of Putnam who was crossing Kennedy Drive.
Ferace said the operator of the vehicle had the green light and the pedestrian was outside of the crosswalk at the time of the collision.
Dazy was transported by Putnam EMS to Day Kimball Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
This is the second accident of this type in the last month.
