PUTNAM --- Nineteen primary care and specialty care practices in northeast Connecticut, which have been operating under various names within the Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH) system, have changed their names to Day Kimball Medical Group, Inc. The change became official on Jan. 1. Following are the practices and their locations:
- Adult Primary Care (Plainfield, Putnam)
- Brooklyn Family Medical Associates
- Canterbury-Thompson Family Medical Associates
- Danielson Medical Associates
- Geriatric Care Management (Dayville)
- Hospitalist Medicine (Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam)
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine (Plainfield, Putnam)
- Medical Center of Northeast Connecticut (Dayville)
- Northeast Connecticut Dermatology (Danielson)
- OB/GYN Associates (Plainfield, Putnam)
- Occupational Health Services (Plainfield)
- Pediatric Center (Plainfield, Putnam, Thompson)
- Pomfret Street Family Medical Associates (Putnam)
- Pulmonary (Putnam)
- Putnam Surgical Associates
- Sports Medicine Associates (Danielson, Plainfield)
- St. Luke’s Family Medicine (Putnam)
- Walk-In Center (Day Kimball Healthcare Center, Plainfield)
- Woodstock Medical Associates
“These practices have been part of our system for quite some time, and now they all share the same name,” said Robert Smanik, DKH president and CEO. “We feel that the name change better reflects our integrated, seamless delivery of care, and the universal access to our entire system.”
Smanik said that the approximately 52,000 patients of these practices were notified in December of the new name. “Nothing else has changed about the practices, and no action is required by our patients,” he added.
