Art Exhibit
POMFRET --- The Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Pomfret will present "Air and Water, Space and Time," a drawings exhibit by George Jacobi, through Aug. 15 at the Grassland Bird Conservation Center on Day Road. Concert, Frog Jump
EASTFORD --- The Congregational Church of Eastford on Church Road will present its annual summer band concert with the East Woodstock cornet Band at 6 p.m. Registration for the frog jumping is at 5:30 and events begin at 6. If you don’t have a frog, loaners will be available. Everything is free. All welcome.

POMFRET --- The Town of Pomfret's bulky waste, scrap metal, paper recycling and tires recycling will be held at 9 a.m. at the Pomfret Murdock Property on Rt. 101. Pomfret residents only.

PLAINFIELD --- The First Congregational Church of Plainfield will hold its annual frog-jump contest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the contest starting at noon. It will be held in the Lions Park next to the Town Hall.

PUTNAM --- The Immaculate Conception Convent on Liberty Highway will hold its Annual Cultural Festival and Picnic at the convent. It opens with a Mass at 11 a.m. and lunch follows at noon.
