For the last game of the year, Putnam Science Academy coach Tom Espinosa wanted his team to finish strong.
Due to scheduling conflicts and unpredictable weather, the Mustangs had almost two weeks between games. “I don’t’ like having that much time between games, but things happen and you have to adjust. I was happy with the way we came out strong tonight," he said.
The layoff didn’t effect the players as the Mustangs jumped out on a 21-0 lead and never looked back, cruising to a 77-59 win over Leadership Prep.  With the win PSA finishes the season 17-5.
TaQuan Zimmerman led PSA with 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, while Michael Gittens added 17 points and eight rebounds.
Playing in the last game of his career, senior Orhan Sultanov made five three-pointers, finishing with a career-high 15 points. Dino Porcic chipped in with 12 points, and four steals.
