LAWTON, Okla. --- Army Pvt. Keith R. Ducat has graduated from the Fire Support Specialist Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Sill. He is the son of Donna P. Ducat of S. Canterbury Road, Canterbury, Conn., and Wayne A. Ducat of Danielson. Ducat is a 2009 graduate of H.H. Ellis Technical High School, Danielson.
The field artillery specialists serve in intelligence activities including target processing in field artillery, cannon battalions, division artillery, artillery and maneuver brigade and headquarters and fire support elements. The course is designed to train students to establish, maintain, and operate radio and wire communications and speech security equipment, including encoding and decoding messages.
They also must prepare and maintain daily staff journals, fire support situation maps, charts and other fire support and target processing procedures, records, and documents.

PUTNAM --- Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Paul D. Maloney, whose wife, Debra, is the daughter of Theresa Langlois of Putnam, retired after 20 years of active duty service in the Navy while serving as the leading petty officer of the Auxiliary Division assigned to USS Memphis in Groton Maloney ended his two decade career at Naval Submarine Base New London's Shepherd of the Sea Chapel with his family and friends.
