Town Meeting
September 20, 2010
The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam, Connecticut, are hereby notified and warned that a Town Meeting of said Town will be held at the Putnam Middle School, 35 Wicker Street, Putnam, Connecticut on Monday, September 20, 2010, at 7:30 o’clock in the evening for the following purposes:
1. To choose a moderator for said meeting.
2. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon the following proposed Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam that the Town road running from Wicker Street to the Putnam Middle School be named and designated as “Israel Putnam Way”.
3. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon the following proposed Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam that the Mayor and Board of Selectmen are hereby authorized to convey to LaBonte Properties, LLC, for a price of $12,000.00, a certain tract or parcel of land consisting of 12,949 square feet, Map #117, Lot 16, a copy of the said map being on file in the Mayor’s Office and available for public inspection during normal business hours. Said premises are to be subject to any easements of record or actually existing.
4. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon the following proposed Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam pursuant to the authority of the Connecticut General Statutes, and Chapter XIII, Section 4d of the Putnam Town Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized on behalf of the Town of Putnam to sign a proposed Regional Revaluation Contract and other related documents necessary to provide for an inter-local agreement of the member towns of Northeastern Connecticut Council of Governments for Tyler Technologies, Inc., including any parent affiliate or related companies, to perform mass appraisal revaluation services for the term of five (5) years with a provision for approval by each town’s chief executive officer of the Tyler staff designated to perform the revaluation services for said town substantially in accord with the draft contract, a copy of which is on file in the Mayor’s Office and available for public inspection during normal business hours.
5. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon a proposed Permanent Water Use Restriction Ordinance to replace the existing Emergency Water Use Ordinance, a copy of the Permanent Water Use Restriction Ordinance is on file in the Mayor’s Office and available for public inspection during normal business hours.
6. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon certain proposed amendments and clarifications to the Ordinance regulating the use of town buildings and town properties.
