Parade ready
to 'dazzle' Nov. 28
PUTNAM — Putnam, Plainfield and Willimantic police departments and State Police Troop D will lead the way as Grand Marshalls of this year’s Holiday Dazzle Light Parade, set to step off at 5 Nov. 28, downtown.
“The committee is delighted to honor our local law enforcement agencies this year for their hard work and dedication to the residents of northeastern Connecticut,” said parade chairman and organizer Gary Osbrey.
“We will have representatives from each department up front in addition to a police car from each department, with lights on, of course,” he added.
There are more than 100 entries set to light up the night at the annual parade. Last year, more than 15,000 people attended the parade.
The starting line is the Grove Street monument in Putnam. The parade will continue to South Main Street, Front Street, Kennedy Drive to Providence Street and will end at the Owen Tarr Sports Complex.
Grove Street will be blocked to thru-traffic at 2:30 p.m. For more information call 860-928-1350 or go to www.winyradio.com
