PUTNAM The annual Holiday Dazzle Light Parade got the season's off to a sparkling start.
More than 20,000 folks took advantage of the mild temperatures (by late fall standards) and lined the streets of Putnam for the ninth annual parade.
Gary Osbrey, one of the parade organizers said the number of floats taking part was also a record.
Some 140 floats thrilled the record crowd.
Floats ran the dazzling gamut: from heavy equipment slung with rubber duckies to cows and dogs sparkling with lights to trailers and trucks of every ilk stuffed with holidays lights.
Osbrey said, "The weather was perfect and the turnout continues to grow because the parade has such an excellent reputation as a fun, free family event. "
"We are already planning next year’s parade which will be the 10th anniversary parade," he added.
