DAYVILLE --- Westview Health Care Center, a 103-bed skilled nursing facility, was ranked among the top seven nursing homes in the nation, according to the latest ratings by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
CMS is a federal agency within the United States Department of Health and Human Services that administers the Medicare program and works in partnership with state governments to administer Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. In addition, CMS is responsible for assuring quality standards in nursing homes through its survey and certification process.
Westview was among over 15,500 nursing homes nationwide ranked overall and on quality indexes such as staffing, quality measures, and state inspections.
“This continues to be a remarkable achievement in our industry and a reflection of our entire team’s commitment to excellence,” said Westview Administrator David T. Panteleakos. “We started this climb in 2009 when we were one of 27 facilities to achieve a perfect 5-star rating in all categories surveyed by CMS. In 2010, we were one of only 12 in the nation to maintain that perfect rating for four consecutive quarters. Now we find ourselves among only seven in the United States to maintain this rating since the beginning. We are all very proud of this accomplishment.”
Westview has maintained a perfect overall 5-star rating, as well as 5-star ratings in all categories since the inception of the federal government’s ranking system.
