THOMPSON — At the recent Knights of Columbus Connecticut State Council Catholic School Spelling Bee St. Joseph student Ben Adase, grade six, won in his division. He will now compete in the state level April 10.
“It feels really good!” Ben said about the win and offered some advice for future spelling bee contestants, “Study, study, study.” At the regional level, all participants will receive a certificate and the first, second and third place finishers in each grade level will receive a special certificate. At the state level, top finishers receive a trophy and Gift Certificates to Barnes & Noble. A special plaque will be presented to the school of the State Spelling Champion in each division.
