PUTNAM --- Kimberly Lane, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), from Behavioral Health Services, was named Day Kimball’s March Employee of the Month.
Lane has been employed by Day Kimball Healthcare since 1983. She began her career as a nurse on the medical/surgical/psychiatric unit and went on to become a nurse psychotherapist in the Mental Health Clinic.
She also serves as a clinical nursing instructor.
She received her bachelor's in biology from Eastern, a bachelor's in nursing from Salve Regina University, a master's in nursing from UConn and a post graduate certificate in primary care nursing as a gerontological nurse practitioner. In the community, Lane is known as someone who gets involved to help others. She is a co-founder along with Dr. Sherry Kroll of the Day Kimball Healthcare Multisport Team. She lives in Pomfret. Her hobbies include gardening, traveling, and competing in triathlons. She and her husband have two children.
