PUTNAM — Putnam Recreation Director Willie Bousquet announced that the Williams team won in the finals of the 20-week Co-Ed Tuesday Night Volleyball League. Taking second was the Dirkson Team.
The two semi-finals, best 2 out of 3 were April 12.
Between first-seed Williams vs. fourth-seed Laverdiere, Williams won 2-0. In the second game, second-seed Dirkson won against third-seed Smutnick by a score of 2-1.
This set up the volleyball final between Williams and Dirkson.
This was a high-octane contest with the Williams winning 2-1.
Members of the first-place Williams team are: Ellen Pratt, Kevin Pratt, Ronnie LaBranche (captain), Cynthia Ayers and Jason Mistark.
Members of the second-place Dirkson team are: Captain Kayla Dirkson, Shawn Jolie, Lindsey Ferreira, Thiago Ferreira and Ashley Hayes.
