POMFRET — The Connecticut Audubon Society at Pomfret will present an exhibit, “Skulls, Skins and Scat,” at 2 p.m. Jan. 29 at the new Grassland Bird Conservation Center on Day Road. Fee: $10 for CAS members, $15 for non-members. Call to register at 860-928-4948.
The exhibit includes preserved mounts and pelts and examples of common signs of mammals that inhabit the northeast corner of our state – bobcat, coyote, fox, fisher, otter and more. The program will also feature wildlife video clips taken be Andy Rzeznikiewicz, land manager at the Bafflin Sanctuary. Come to learn about animal tracks and sign, ask your wildlife questions, and get information about the Citizen Science Volunteer Monitoring Program.
