Clippers
win 46-26
PUTNAM --- The Putnam High School girls' basketball team handled University easily last week, winning by a score of 46 to 26.
The highlights of the game, according to coach Willie Bousquet was that the Clippers "had balanced scoring with Ashley Espinosa having 12 points, followed by Monica Phongsa and Holly Desrosiers with nine and Christie Austin with eight points." Makenzi Kaylor had four points and six assists.
Putnam's Phongsa had two three-points and Desrosier had one.
Clipper stats included: Monica Phongsa 3-1-9, Abby Allard 1-0-2, Makenzi Kaylor1-2-4, Ashley Espinosa 4-4-12, Cynthia Briere 0-1-1, Fran Alcindor 0-1-1, Holly Desrosiers 4-0-9, Christie Austin 4-0-8. The total was 17-9-46.

Stats for University include: Tona Hill 1-2-4, Yanitzia Rodriguez 1-0-2, Liz Doefler 5-5-12, Ladonna Quinn 2-0-4, Mikayla Alexander 1-0-2, Amina Seidi 1-0-2. Total was: 9-7-26. Doefler had one three-pointer.
The Clippers' record is now 9-3 , 7-2 in the CSC league. University stands at 7-6 with 5-4 in the CSC.
