Meeting
MARCH 7, 2012
The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam, Connecticut, are hereby notified and warned that a Town Meeting of said Town will be held at the Putnam Middle School Auditorium, 35 Wicker Street, Putnam, Connecticut on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 7:30 in the evening for the following purposes:
1. To choose a moderator for said meeting.
2. To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon the following proposed Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, all existing water rates of the Putnam Water Pollution Control Authority shall be increased by twenty (20%) percent on January 1, 2012, July 1, 2012, January 1, 2013 and January 1, 2014. Connection fees, hourly charges and turn-on and turn-off fees shall be increased by two and 5/10 (2.5%) percent on January 1, 2012, July 1, 2012, July 1, 2013 and July 1, 2014 except that the turn-on and turn-off fees effective January 1, 2012 shall be increased by fifty (50%) percent as a onetime increase. A full schedule of the new water rates is on file in the office of the Town Clerk of Town of Putnam as well as the WPCA office.

The Town of Putnam Zoning Board of Appeals held a meeting on February 21, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall located at 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT. The following action was taken:
Appeal # 2012-003: Putnam TSC. LLC — Request for a variance from Section 1111 “Minimum Off-Street Parking Requirements” of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations for the reduction of the required 55 parking spaces down to 25 parking spaces for a proposed restaurant. Property located at 97 Providence Pike. Town Assessor’s Map 026, 055. Zoned C-4. NOT APPROVED.

The Town of Putnam, CT will receive sealed bids for the SALE of a 1996 Ford F150 2x2 Pick Up Truck until Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. in the Water & Sewer Office, 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260.
Bids will be opened at the Water Pollution Control Authority Meeting Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Education Conference Room of the Town Hall, 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked "1996 Ford Pick Up Truck."
The Town of Putnam, CT, reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding; to accept and/or reject any and all bids; or to accept a bid which, in its sole judgment, is deemed in the best interest of the Town of Putnam, CT.
