The Arc of Quinebaug Valley, Inc. is celebrating significant progress in its “Elevating Education – The Power to Transform Lives” Capital Campaign. The Citizens National Bank generously donated $25,000 to the capital campaign recently. The Arc will host a kick-off ceremony for the community phase of the campaign from 5 to 7 p.m. April 26 at The Gold Eagle Restaurant at The Laurel House, Dayville. Members of the community will be invited to attend.
“We, at The Citizens National Bank, have followed the work of The Arc over time and found the organization to be a great partner within the communities we both serve. The bank appreciates The Arc giving us the opportunity to contribute to such a worthwhile project,” said David L. Conrad, president and CEO of The Citizens National Bank.
The goal of the campaign is to raise $250,000 toward the installation of an elevator at the Cook Hill Rd. Office, Education and Training Center in Danielson. “We are so grateful for the partnership and business relationship we have with The Citizens National Bank. Their most generous gift of $25,000 to our Capital Campaign will help assure that we will meet our goals. We are proud of the services we provide to this community and appreciate the confidence and trust The Citizens National Bank has demonstrated in us through this donation,” said The Arc Executive Director Susan Desrosiers.
