Then
This is the end of the parking lot, at the entrance to the Palmer Arboretum in Woodstock (behind Palmer Memorial Hall on Rt. 169) before the drainage project began last week. The drain in the corner, on the right, is often overwhelmed by water running downhill and a wall of water runs down the arboretum's hill, taking plants and soil with it. & Now
Equipment and concrete drainage basins sat ready to go mid-week, last week. The project is now finished. A grass strip will be installed between the end of the parking lot and the new drainage area, a further help to slow down and filter runoff.
