Academy wins 3 awards
WOODSTOCK — In their first state level competition the Woodstock Academy Future Business Leaders of America took home a first and two third-place awards.
With more than 800 Connecticut students in attendance, senior Eric Glinsky took first in Computer Problem Solving, sophomore Stephanie Marasco took third place in Public Speaking, and the team of Megan Torcellini and Shannon Darby took 3rd place in Desktop Publishing.
This is the first time in Academy history that FBLA students have competed at the state level.
As a result of winning first place in the Computer Problem Solving event, Glinsky has been invited to represent the state of Connecticut at the national FBLA competition in San Antonio. Advisers for FBLA are Ron Fasula and Patricia Harrington.
