Art Exhibit
POMFRET --- The Northeastern CT Art Guild is sponsoring a members' art exhibit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Sept. 23 at the Connecticut Audubon Society of Pomfret on Day Road. A reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 2. All welcome.
Fun Runs

Fund-raiser
PUTNAM --- Wonderland Books on Main Street will host a book signing and meet and greet session with Neville, canine star of the book “Neville: A Dog With A Secret” from 5 to 9 p.m. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to Passion 4 Paws, a no-kill non-profit animal rescue group in Dayville. Bring donations of canned and dry cat food. www.passion4paws.org.

N. GROSVENORDALE --- The Knights of Columbus Council 2087 will hold a “fish only” fish fry from noon to 7 p.m. at the Knights Hall. Prices vary.

PUTNAM --- The Town of Putnam's River Fire will be at dark at Rotary Park.
Agriculture Faire
EASTFORD --- The Eastford Agriculture Committee will present the annual Agriculture Faire will be from 10 a.m. to noon on the Green at the Ivy Glenn. Includes farm animals, games for children, a farmer's market, agricultural displays, and a contest to find the oldest and most unusual pieces of farm equipment. Free. All welcome. Table space is available.
Dog Walk
PUTNAM --- The Fourth Annual NEADS Dog Walk to support “Canines for Combat Veterans” will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Putnam Farmers’ Market on Kennedy Drive. To donate or for more info, call 928-4960.
Mum - Bake Sale
BROOKLYN --- The Friends of the Brooklyn Library will sponsor a Mum and Bakes Sale from 9 a.m. to noon on Rt. 6 on the front lawn of the Federated Church.
Food Drive
PUTNAM --- a drive for non-perishable food and cash donations for Project Northeast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Knight of Columbus Cargill Council 64 home on Providence Street. Donations may also be left, between now and Sept. 8, two locations of Joseph’s Jewelers, 153 School St. in Putnam and 158 Main St., Danielson. Circle of Fun
PUTNAM --- The 41st St. Mary Parish Circle of Fun is coming Sept. 13-16 at the church on Providence Street. Included in the festivities are a big Flea Market, with an early-bird special planned for Sept. 13. Entertainment includes “One Shot Deal” Friday night, Quest Martial Arts and “Synergy” Saturday, Gary O (WINY) and Paige and Ness Sunday. Also included are food and beverages, game booths, Bingo and rides for all ages, the “Circle of Fun” moon bounce and ball pit, a bake sale, basket drawings (the drawing is at 6 p.m. Sept. 16).
