The Town of Putnam Zoning Commission will hold a meeting on December 19, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall located at 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT. The following public hearings will be held:

Docket # 2012-08: Jere Stone --- Request for a special permit for a home occupation according to Section 925 of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations for a counseling practice located at 483 Liberty Highway. Town Assessor's Map 26, Lot 110. Zoned AG-2.
Docket # 2012-09: Ling Xin Li --- For a special permit according to Section 720 Schedule of Uses & Districts of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations to convert an existing building (formerly The Furniture Store) to a 15-room hotel. Property located at 51 Pomfret Street. Town Assessor's Map 15, Lot 58. Zoned C-3. located in the Industrial Heritage Overlay District.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Putnam is holding a 14-day review and comment period relative to a proposed project to construct sidewalk ramps at various locations in town.
The purpose of the review and comment period is to provide the public with the opportunity to become acquainted with the proposed improvements and offer comments. Public comments are encouraged and all views and comments received will be considered.
The proposed project consists of constructing approximately 30 sidewalk ramps at various locations throughout town. Preliminary design has been completed and construction is planned for Spring 2013.
The project is funded under the Federal High Priority Projects Program administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The total estimated construction cost is approximately $84,000. The Federal Highway Administration will provide 80% of the construction cost and the Town will provide 20%.
Preliminary plans are available for review at the Putnam Mayor’s Office, 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Written statements and other exhibits regarding the project are to be submitted to Gerard Beausoleil, Director, Department of Public Works, 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260. The final date for receipt of these statements and exhibits is Friday, December 28, 2012.
