DAYVILLE — United Services, Inc., was awarded a $475 donation from The Savings Institute Bank & Trust Company Employees’ Caring & Giving Program to support substance abuse and mental illness treatment programs in northeastern Connecticut. Savings Institute Bank & Trust employees raise money on an annual basis to help those in need throughout the communities the Bank serves. Each quarter a portion of the proceeds are directed to a different community need. For the third quarter of this year, employees designated the funds to help in treating substance abuse and mental illness.
“We’re so thankful to the employees of The Savings Institute Bank & Trust, not only for their support but for their awareness of how important addressing these issues is in improving the health and vitality of our communities here in northeastern Connecticut,” said United Services President and CEO, Diane Manning.
United Services serves the 21 towns of northeastern Connecticut with more than 30 treatment, prevention and education programs for those struggling with mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence or other behavioral health issues. Its Center for Autism, opened in July of this year, has also brought specialized treatment and programs for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and families to northeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas.
