Jewett City Savings Bank promotes six
JEWETT CITY — Michael Alberts, president and CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank, has announced the promotions of Peter Cannon, Jane Watson, John Couillard, Monique Mailloux, Matthew Voelker, and Brett Lovett.
Peter Cannon, senior vice president, has been promoted to chief compliance officer. Cannon joined the bank in 2011 and has 17 years of experience as a bank compliance officer. He holds a Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law and a bachelor’s from the University of Rhode Island. Cannon is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
Jane Watson, assistant controller, has been promoted to vice president. Watson joined the bank in 1991; she holds an associate’s degree in office administration and information processing from QVCC. Watson is also a graduate of the Connecticut Bankers Association School of Finance & Management.
John Couillard has been promoted to assistant vice president, commercial loan officer. Couillard joined the bank in 2020 and has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial banking industry. He holds a bachelor’s in business management from Bryant University and an associate’s in business management from Mitchell College. Couillard is also a graduate of the Center for Financial Training, Commercial Lending School.
Monique Mailloux has been promoted to assistant vice president, commercial credit analyst. Mailloux joined the bank in 2021 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility. She is a graduate of the Center for Financial Training and holds various certificates in financial services, lending, accounting, and supervision.
Matthew Voelker has been promoted to assistant vice president, Business Loan Officer. Joining the bank in 2022 as a senior credit analyst, he holds a degree in business administration and a minor in business information systems from ECSU.
Brett Lovett, branch manager of the bank’s Putnam office, has been promoted to assistant vice president. Lovett joined the bank’s team in 2023 and has 11 years of experience in the banking industry. Currently attending the Connecticut Bankers Association School of Finance & Management; he is expected to graduate this spring.
