Wide Tag Sale set for May 3
Sale benefits charities
POMFRET — The 19th Annual Town Wide Tag Sale will be held May 3. Many sales benefit local organizations and charities, so your bargains are meaningful to the community.
It starts at 7 a.m. at the Pomfret Community School or the Christ Church where shoppers can buy a printed map for $2.
Popular fund-raisers include The Friends of Pomfret Public Library used book sale, 7 a.m. to noon at the Old Town House.
The Windham-Tolland 4-H Camp will host its annual indoor/outdoor sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 2 and 3, rain or shine.
Also the Pomfret Horse & Trail Association sale includes horse related and other items on Tyrone Road.
Please support TEEG and the Pomfret Food Pantry by dropping off nonperishable items at Pomfret Community Center between 9 and 11 a.m.
The Pomfret Proprietors Association established the region’s first and one of the best town-wide sales, which draws visitors to northeast CT for treasures galore with numerous locations throughout town.
Over the years, the PPA has given back to the community through profits from the map sales, business ads, and tag sale registrations.
The 2024 sale donated nearly $2,000 to Pomfret’s Recreation Department, Historical Society, and the Pomfret Power Packs, to name a few.
