POMFRET — Welcome back, Pomfret Community School students. While you were on spring break, the Pomfret Community School PTO, channeled the Easter Bunny and left you a welcome back surprise — a gaga game pit.
The PTO’s Jennie Mix said the group has been working for more than two years to create a gaga pit. They raised funds and last weekend volunteers created the pit. She said Eastford Lumber discounted the lumber used and Seth Fortier of Fortier Concrete and Construction Services of Pomfret donated the stone dust that provided the base. Eric Mix, Fortier and others volunteers worked April 19 and had it finished by lunch time. There was a whole host of volunteers who worked on making the project happen.
