Rita M. (LaRoche) LeFevre
DANIELSON — Rita M. (LaRoche) LeFevre, 78, wife of the late Theodore “Ted” LeFevre, died Sept. 29, 2025, at Backus Hospital in Norwich.
Rita was born on July 2, 1947, the daughter of the late Pierre and Rosilda (Tellier) LaRoche. She was a 1967 graduate of Killingly High School and was the secretary of the Killingly High School Alumni Association. Rita worked for many years in the manufacturing industry, having worked at Gant Shirtmakers, Acme Cotton, Danielson Curtain, and Lerocato Manufacturing. She had also worked at the Putnam Walmart and the Friendly Bowling Alley. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, and NASCAR. Amongst her many hobbies, Rita enjoyed sewing and crafting.
She leaves her niece, Dawn (Rivers) Pacheco, and her husband, Sergio of North Oxford, Mass.; her brother, Cephas Robbins (Dale) of Danielson; and by her close friend, Hellen Alderich of Danielson. She was predeceased by her father, Pierre, in 1975, her mother, Rosilda, in 1982, her husband, Ted, in 2004, her daughter, Lori Davis, in 2006, and her sister, Annis Rivers, in 2007.
A Celebration of Life is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 8 in the Gilman-Valade Funeral Home and Crematory, 104 Church St., Putnam. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, Putnam. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson.
