POMFRET --- The Three C’s is celebrating its 28th season of bringing performing arts for kids to the Quiet Corner and Massachusetts.
Oct. 25 Broadway actor and movie producer, Patrick Garner, will bring the character of Thomas Edison to life and demonstrate the great man’s inventions and secrets of his success. Suggested grades 4 - 8. Dec. 6 The bilingual musical, the Yellow Brick Road, is a new twist on a classic favorite. Suggested grades 2 – 6. A favorite with schools is the return of Freedom Train on April 2. The story is of Harriet Tubman, who was born to slavery. Suggested grades 3 – 8.
May 22 Skippyjohn Jones, a delightful child-pleasing musical, will be presented. Suggested grades K – 4.
All productions are produced by Theatreworks USA from New York and presented by The Three C’s, at 10 am. and noon, at Hyde Cultural Center in Woodstock. Tickets for groups of 10 or more are $3 per person. Advance reservations are required by going to the web site www.thethreecs.org or calling the Box Office 928-2946. The Three C’s is a volunteer non profit organization managed by Mary Patenaude, Betty Hale and Lynn Brodeur, with the assistance of many volunteer ushers. Bob Sloat is in charge of all tech.
