PUTNAM — Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut gave the keys to a renovated home to Lorielle Robidas last week.
Putnam Bank provided funding for the repairs to the home on Van den Noort Street and provided volunteer support for the renovation as well.
Robidas is the first family to purchase a home in eastern Windham County since the merger of Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Connecticut and Habitat for Humanity of Southeastern Connecticut in July 2013 to create Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut.
Families apply to Habitat for Humanity and are selected based upon their need, their ability to pay an affordable mortgage and their willingness to partner to complete 400 hours of sweat equity.
