Odena B. Campbell
PUTNAM — Odena B. Campbell, 82, of Putnam died June 11, 2022, at Matulaitis Nursing Home. She was born July 13, 1939, in N. Grosvenordale to the late Ovila and Maria (Aucoin) Audette.  
Odena married Robert L. Campbell Sr. on Oct. 25, 1958.  Robert died in July 2005. Odena was a devout Catholic as faith was very prevalent in her family. She cherished each and every member of her family and extended families and enjoyed catching up on Sunday mornings for coffee, snacks, and conversation of the week’s events.
Odena had previously worked at Grants, Windham Container and lastly retiring while at Commerce Insurance.
She leaves behind a sister, Sr. Louise Audette of Manchester, N.H.; a daughter, Donna Young (Doug) of Woodstock; two sons: Robert Campbell Jr. and Dawn Poirier of Putnam, and Michael (Peach) Campbell of Woodstock; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and dear friend from childhood throughout the years, Joanne Gatineau of Thompson. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter Karen Paquette; a granddaughter, Chelsea Paquette; a sister, Sr. Anna Audette.
Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. June 15 at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church of the Visitation, Putnam. Burial follows Mass in St. Mary Cemetery, Putnam.

Joy M. Freeman
WOODSTOCK — M. Freeman, 52, died June 2, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.  She leaves her father Arthur J. Freeman of Pomfret Center.
She was born in Putnam, daughter of Arthur J. Freeman and the late Natalie A. (Racine) Freeman and lived in the area most of her life.  Joy was a registered nurse and worked in the health field specializing as a psych nurse.  
Joy was a graduate of Woodstock Academy; she earned her bachelor’s from Anna Maria College and her master’s in psychology from UConn.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. June 17, 2022, in St. Joseph’s Church, Main Street, N. Grosvenordale. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, Webster.
